Dental and hearing care after service
Why service often leaves dental and hearing problems behind, and how to access NHS care for both.

Hearing
Years around weapons, vehicles, and aircraft take a toll. If you notice ringing, struggle in busy rooms, or find yourself turning the TV up, ask for an audiology referral. Hearing loss is often eligible for an AFCS lump sum as well as NHS hearing aids.
Dental
Service dental schemes don't follow you out. Many veterans leave with dental work that needs continuing. Register with an NHS dentist as soon as you can — waiting lists are long.
If you can't access NHS dentistry locally, Dentaid runs outreach for veterans. Search "Dentaid for veterans".
