About us
We exist so that no one who has served has to figure it out alone.
The Soldiers Salvation is a UK-registered charity running a free, confidential online advice bureau for serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families.
Our mission
Every year, thousands of service personnel and veterans miss out on benefits, housing support, or healthcare they're entitled to — not because they don't deserve it, but because the system is hard to navigate.
We bridge that gap. We translate forms, explain the small print, and walk people through it — until the support they're entitled to is actually in their hands.
What we do
- Free advice library covering housing, benefits, mental health, employment, healthcare, legal, family, and money.
- One-to-one advice over phone, email, and (soon) live chat.
- Form-filling and casework support — we don't just hand out leaflets.
- Signposting to partner charities and statutory services where it makes sense.
How we're funded
We're a registered UK charity (number 1210200), recognised for Gift Aid. We're funded by individual donations, regular givers, and grants from trusts and foundations. We do not charge clients — ever.
Our values
Plain English, always
No jargon, no acronyms. If we can't say it simply, we'll work at it until we can.
We finish what we start
We don't sign-post and disappear. We see your case through to a resolution.
Confidence by default
Nothing leaves our advice team without your permission. Full stop.
